We are Enrolled Agents who are tax consultants licensed for unlimited practice and represent tax payers before the IRS. We offer tax preparation and tax representation for tax relief and tax help when the IRS wants to look at your financial situation.
Tax preparation is the first step. When tax preparation is completed accurately, responses to any IRS inquiry become more routine. No one can guarantee that a return will not be looked at by the IRS. What we can state is that we work to prepare an accurate return that we feel we can defend before the IRS if a question is ever asked.
Through accurate tax preparation you should never have to pay more than you are required by law. The goal is to avoid paying taxes based on legal methods and to get clients the greatest tax relief possible.

Oak Tree: The Difference That Matters
Being tax consultants that offer tax preparation and getting people tax relief help needs a team that can stand behind their work. The IRS offers a review of who can prepare a return and who is licensed to represent taxpayers. It is important to know that your professional team is licensed and capable to meet your tax compliance needs.
Why Choose Oak Tree?
As Enrolled Agents (EA), tax preparation, acting as a tax consultant and getting people tax relief is the focus of our training. We are prepared to represent and advise you regarding taxes. We are trained for tax preparation for individuals and businesses as well as estates, trusts, and any entities that have requirements for tax-reporting.
Only Enrolled Agents demonstrate their knowledge to the IRS in the areas of tax law, tax preparation, and navigating the system for tax relief help. License to practice is obtained by taking a comprehensive exam covering all areas of taxation, representation, and ethics. Once the candidate completes this examination process, they are granted the right for unlimited representation of clients before IRS.
The EA licensing process is different from our professional colleagues who practice as Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) or tax attorneys. Their professions require a state-based exam and license. They may choose to focus on taxation. Likewise, CPAs and attorneys depend on state laws of reciprocity to be able to practice in locations outside the state where they were licensed.
What the IRS Says:
Our professional tax preparer license is with the IRS and extends throughout the world. The IRS also requires that every EA has Continuing Education (CE) of at least 72 hours every three years. CE requirements help ensure that each EA is current on the ever-changing tax rules. But for Oak Tree, that is not enough. Our continued learning for tax preparation starts just after the April filing deadline is complete. The process takes us beyond that of the minimum as we not only take tax courses, we also teach classes on various topics of taxation.
Ongoing training keeps Oak Tree EAs knowledgeable to effectively offer tax help by representing taxpayers audited by the IRS. To be effective, we must remain current with continually changing tax laws.
With an emphasis on ethics and ongoing proof of expertise, Oak Tree EAs are ready to serve your tax compliance needs.
This Is What Matters Most
Our tax preparation clients have long-term relationships with us – most have been clients for decades. We take their needs and considerations into account in all that we do. Knowing each one on a personal level helps to meet their needs and the needs of their children as we work with them across the generations.
When clients have questions, there are many places they can go. But at Oak Tree they know they are going to get three basis things:
- An answer that is crafted to meet their needs
- The truth about what they are doing and if they are on the best path
- Unbiased advice that can lead them to a better outcome
They also know that through our network of professional resources we can help them meet whatever they are working through in their financial world.
Oak Tree, through our partners, can offer a full range of professional services at a fair price and still be small enough to give you the individual attention that you deserve.
